Friends, readers, Rebis community members,

We have been thrilled by the energy and creativity already pouring into submissions for The Devil, our fourth print anthology. There is no better time to examine our relationship to power, or to confront our darkest truths. There is a profound, revelatory brilliance within the darkness of this archetype. The Devil is a trickster. It provokes and mesmerizes. We are eager to begin the process of curating stories and artwork that submerge readers into fascinating new underworlds.

If you haven’t submitted yet, consider this your invitation! Show us the work that emerges from your shadows, your infernal creations. And while you’re at it, send this to all your writer/artist friends. We pay $200 to each contributor.

For writing, we are especially interested in seeing narrative essays, flash fiction, and prose poetry—but would also love to be surprised by experimental creative writing. Twist genres together, dance with language. Interviews and epistolary projects are also welcome! And while we accept artwork in all formats fit for print, keep in mind our 8x10 vertical orientation and resolution quality of 300DPI or higher for your submissions.
